Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bread

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bread

This week I'll continue to share recipes with the combination of peanut butter and chocolate. This is more of a bread than a dessert, but it's really good for breakfast, dessert or a snack!

This recipe will make two large loaves or several small ones. I made one large and three small. We ate one small loaf and shared the rest!

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bread

3 c. flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons butter, softened
1 1/2 cups chunky peanut butter
1 cup packed light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/4 cups buttermilk
1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips (You can use a combination of chocolate chips and peanut butter chips)

Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; set aside.

With an electric mixer, cream together butter, peanut butter and the brown sugar; add the eggs one at a time. Add the buttermilk; mix well. Add the flour mixture, mixing until it is just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips by hand.
Spoon into pans. Bake in a 300 degree oven for 45 minutes, or until done.

  1. I have to make this for my neighbors. They are an older couple that loves all kinds of breads, and I am always making different kinds for them to try, I know they would enjoy this.
