“One of the delights of life is eating with friends, second to that is talking about eating. And, for an unsurpassed double whammy, there is talking about eating while you are eating with friends.”
~ Laurie Colwin 'Home Cooking'
We enjoyed a great time of fellowship with our homeschool co-op last night! It's hard to believe we're celebrating the conclusion of another school year! The students did a great job presenting a sampling of the things they learned this year as our studies covered the years of the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, and the Reformation. I am so grateful to this sweet group of Christians, who are helping our children learn things of history, literature, science, art, etc. from a Godly worldview!
Of course our fellowship included food - Papa John's pizza and yummy cake! It was a blessing to come and just sit down and enjoyed a fun meal with friends. There are always, in any gathering like this, those who "made it happen" by decorating the tables, ordering the food, picking up the food, paper goods, etc.! It is truly an act of service when one does this! Many thanks to those who provided the rest of us with this wonderful opportunity of celebration and fellowship!
I enjoyed talking with a sweet friend that I don't get to visit with very often, and the conversation turn to this blog. I so appreciate her kind words! Then several of us began to talk about food, meal planning, and recipes.
All are favorite subjects!
